Recently, Reliance Jio owned by Mukesh Ambani created a buzz in media when the news surfaced that the company is planning to stop making Jio phone. The users of the Jio were devastated with this news. But now in a new development, that company has clarified that it is not stopping the productions of its Jio phone.
The pre-booking of Reliance Jio's phone had started from August 24 and the company had started delivering the Jio phone from 15 September. If the reports are to believed, the telecom company had received around six million bookings.
Recently, the Jio had stopped the pre-booking of its phone to complete the deliveries of its first batch. In a report 'Factor Daily' had claimed that the company is planning to shift its focus upon the Android phone and for that purpose, they will stop the production of Jio phones.
However, the spokesperson of Reliance Jio has said that these reports are not to believed and company will soon announce the date of its next pre-booking, “JioPhone, ‘India ka smartphone’ is committed to fulfilling the country’s digital vision. Jio welcomes the initial 6 million Indians who are moving to digital life with the JioPhone and will soon announce the next JioPhone booking date.”

At the launch of its new phone Reliance Jio have told its users that the company is targeting to make it possible to have 5 million Jiophones produced every week. Currently, the Jio phones run upon KaiOS and it already has MyJio, JioMusic, JioTV, JioCinema app installed in it. The most notable thing about Jio phone is that they don't ship their phone with popular apps like Facebook and WhatsApp.
