Reliance Jio has decided to give its Massive MIMO Pre-5G technology on Delhi and Mumbai venues of Indian Premier league, inaugurating on 7th April in Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. Massive MIMO (Multiple-input Multiple outputs) is known for increasing network capacity by five to six times. This is a wireless technology which enables you to transmit and receive more than one data signal instead of single data signal on the same spectrum. It’s a complete system of multiple technologies with the bigger number of antennas and higher frequency on a small location.

In conventional method generally, a single antenna is used to transmit and receive signal which increases the possibility of disturbance and errors, by using two or more antenna and transmitting multiple signals, it optimizes the data speed by reducing disturbance in network congestion. In high-density user area, MIMO gives superfast data speed with the help of multiple wireless solutions such as MIMO, 4G eNodeBs, WiFi and small cells.

Jio biggest telecom rival Airtel is also deploying its Massive MIMO Pre-5G technology in various Indian Premier League venues such as Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mohali, Indore, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Chennai.

“ We aspire to give our customer a seamless and high-speed 4G experience, Airtel will deploy its Massive MIMO Pre-5G high-speed wireless system different on different venues of Indian premier league matches,” said Shyam Mardikar, Chief technology officer in his statement.

MIMO will enhance the data network allowing people to share post and stream content even in the electrifying crowd on IPL venues and high density of network users during matches.
