Indian origin scientist developed a method to create Hydrogen fuel with water and sunlight in UK; read details

An Indian scientist Govinder Singh Pawar has developed a method to convert the abundant solar energy into the Hydrogen fuel. The Indian origin scientist is researching in the University of Exeter in the UK has presented a paper which claims the method to split the water into its two elements of Hydrogen and Oxygen then Hydrogen can be used as fuel for consumption replacing the fossil fuel.

The University released a statement "The hydrogen fuel that can be created through this synthetic photosynthesis method would not only severely reduce carbon emissions but would also create a virtually limitless energy source,".

This fuel can be utilised for both the purposes homes and vehicles, this technology has been developed by using the Photo electro-chemical water splitting method which creates a natural photo-synthesis by using the sunlight. This technology is helpful to create a carbon-free economy. To initiate this method it requires a stable conductor material and this research is a milestone success in the field.

The research team said in a statement "To the best of our knowledge, we report for the first time the nanostructured LaFeO3 photoelectrode for spontaneous hydrogen evolution from water without any external applied bias, Moreover, our material has excellent stability where, after 21 hours of testing, it does not degrade, ideal for water splitting purpose."
