Tech-Giant Google is going to end its Google-drive support for Windows and Mac operating Systems. The change will be applicable from May 12, 2018. Earlier, Google was going to end its drive support for desktop devices on March 12, 2018.
Google has promised that, there will be no change in anyone's personal data stored in the Google drive. The safety and security of the data will be available to all the users regardless of the fact, they have a free or paid Google account.
Google drive has been a great tool for us. With the increasing needs of more and more storage space and the advent of cloud space market came the Google drive with 15Gbs of free cloud storage space to make our storage problems easy. The drive has been a very popular service irrespective of the operating system one uses. This seems to change soon.
However, Google has made it clear that no changes will be made to the users on its Android devices. The mobile devices can continue using Google drives' storage space as earlier.
Google has been making great changes in its services recently. It has also announced to launch a business chat feature in its messaging services through Hangouts. Google has mentioned in one of its recent blogs that it aims to make safety and security features more simple for its users. Also, Google revealed that it is planning to use Artificial Intelligence in its Hangouts messaging services.
With Google's news features on Hangouts on its way, the conversation will be changed forever. The blog also stated that the video calling services will also witness a fundamental change. There will be features like the option to switch from individual video chats to group conferences.
For those of us, who use Google drive services on the desktop this may not be a very good news but with Google's new plans including the business chat features for hangouts and the use of Artificial Intelligence, the future of technology looks bright.
