BSNL to offer 20Mbps broadband plans starting for Rs 99; see details

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has come up with four new broadband plans that will come with daily data limit and with a speed of 20Mbps. These plans have reportedly been launched a promotional basis and are applicable only for the new users. The actual motive behind these starter broadband packs remains to lure new customers to the BSNL broadband network.

These special plans start from only Rs 99 and go up to Rs 399, with data benefits ranging from 45GBs per month to 600GBs per month.

This comes ahead of the rumoured launch of the Jio Fiber broadband service that is said to offer 100Mbps speed, Jio TV access and unlimited calls at less than Rs. 1,000. This is being seen as a step to target Jio's predatory pricing policy.

The cheapest of the plans is the combo ULD 45GB plan, The BBG Combo ULD 45GB plan from BSNL comes at a price of Rs 99 and offers 1.5GB data benefit until 20 Mbps. After the completion of daily FUP, speeds will be reduced to 1 Mbps.

Likewise, there are 150GB, 300GB and 600 GB plans.

As mentioned earlier, these plans are promotional with a validity of 90 days but these may receive an extension in case the demand and popularity of these plans surge. Also, a security deposit of Rs 500 will be collected from every new customer who wishes to subscribe to BSNL broadband services.
