Weather Change Sparks Disease Surge

Narsinghgarh: The arrival of monsoon has brought a wave of changing weather patterns, with people experiencing alternating periods of cold, heat, and humidity. This fluctuation is taking a toll on people's health, particularly among children and the elderly.

Viral and seasonal diseases are on the rise, with the Out Patient Department (OPD) of the Civil Hospital crossing 400 patients in the last four days.

The majority of patients visiting the hospital suffer from symptoms like vomiting, diarrhoea, cold, cough, and fever. The weather change has led to an increase in viral and seasonal diseases, with 80% of patients in the OPD suffering from these ailments.

Doctors Advise Precautions

Dr. Rajendra Ahirwar, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of the Civil Hospital, advises people to take necessary precautions during the monsoon season.

"The sudden change in weather from hot to cold has led to an increase in viral and seasonal diseases. People should consume boiled and filtered water, avoid eating outside food, and ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness in their surroundings. They should also use umbrellas and raincoats during the rain and avoid staying out for long periods," he said.

Dr. Ahirwar further emphasized the importance of getting a medical check-up immediately if one experiences any health issues during this season.
