Jhalawar: With the monsoon season coming to an end, seasonal diseases are on the rise in the city. As a result, government hospitals and private doctors are witnessing an increase in the number of patients daily.
At the Rajkiya Satellite Hospital, around 400-500 patients visit the outpatient department every day, leading to long queues. Diseases such as cough, fever, and viral infections are on the rise, and the hospital is struggling to cope with the influx of patients. Cases of vomiting and diarrhoea among children are also increasing.
Many patients who visited the hospital said that they had to wait for hours to receive treatment. Doctors attribute the surge in these diseases to the change in weather and temperature. They advise people to take special precautions to avoid infection and seek medical attention immediately if necessary.
The hospital administration claims to have taken all necessary steps to manage the situation, ensuring that patients receive timely treatment and do not face undue hardship.
Dr Mayank Sharma said that the number of patients is likely to increase over the next month. The medical team is working diligently to check on patients, conduct necessary tests, and provide free medicines under the Chief Minister's Free Medicine Scheme.
Diet Matters Immensely
Doctors advise people to take care of their diet, avoid mosquito bites, and prevent water accumulation around their homes. They also stress the importance of seeking medical attention immediately if any symptoms of illness appear, to prevent complications and ensure timely treatment.
