Sikar (Rajasthan): The fervor of devotees continued unabated on the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, as they thronged to catch a glimpse of Lord Shyam at the ancient Shyam Temple in Ringas. The devotees came from all corners of the country, including Jaipur, Delhi, Alwar, Haryana, Punjab, Assam, Kolkata, and Mumbai, bringing with them trucks full of goods to distribute among the devotees.

The devotees' enthusiasm was palpable as they gathered at the Ringas Junction, with trains packed with devotees till late at night. The pilgrims distributed goods like fruits, ganna, bil, shikanji, and falooda among others, while also setting up makeshift rest stops to escape the scorching heat. The devotees' fervor was such that they even laid out a carpet of kalins (a type of mat) on the road for half a kilometer till the Shyam Temple.

The devotees' service and charity earned them punya (good deeds), while the vendors were pleased with the increased business. The devotees' influx started from Saturday and continued till Monday night, with the railway station and bus stand at Ringas and Bikaner witnessing a sea of devotees.
