Fogging to Prevent Spread of Chandipura Virus Infection

Dungarpur (Rajasthan): In a bid to prevent the spread of Chandipura virus infection, the administration has gone into alert mode after a child was found infected with the virus in Dungarpur district. On Monday, District Collector Ankit Kumar Singh held a meeting to review the treatment of the infected child, the current situation, and the status of Chandipura virus infections in the district so far.

During the meeting, Singh instructed officials to conduct fogging in the area where the infected child resides, as well as in other areas with similar symptoms. He also directed them to monitor the child's health closely and provide effective treatment. Additionally, he ordered the spraying of medicine on stagnant water and fogging to prevent the spread of the virus.


The District Collector also reviewed the weekly review meeting and took stock of the Jal Sansadhan Vibhag's review, inquiring about the reasons behind the breach of the Vatrak Dam canal and instructing officials to repair it soon. He warned that action would be taken against those responsible if the repair work is not completed promptly.

Meanwhile, Singh also reviewed the Social Justice and Empowerment Department and instructed officials to expedite the pending pension verification cases in Dungarpur and Sagwara urban areas, as well as in Jhouthari and Bichiwara. He also directed officials to hold another meeting with college authorities and nodal officers to resolve scholarship-related issues.

Blood Donation Camp on August 14

The District Collector announced that a blood donation camp will be organized by the Red Cross District Committee at the district hospital on August 14. He appealed to all officials, employees, and citizens to participate in the camp and donate blood voluntarily.

The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer Mukesh Chaudhary and other district-level officials.
