Memorandum Calls for Holiday During Ganesh Chaturthi Fair

Ajmer: The Rajasthan Panchayati Raj and Secondary Teachers' Association submitted a memorandum to the District Collector on Thursday, demanding a holiday on Ganesh Chaturthi Fair.

The delegation, led by District Minister Rahul Singh Gurjar, urged the administration to declare a holiday on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, which is the largest fair in the district.

Every year, the District Collector declares a holiday on Ganesh Chaturthi, but this year, the holiday has been declared on Kartik Krishna Amavasya, which has no connection with the local district.

The association demanded that the administration reconsider its decision and declare a holiday on Ganesh Chaturthi, keeping in mind the religious sentiments of the people of the district.

The association's delegation comprised District Minister Rahul Singh Gurjar, Hanuman Singh Naruka, Harishankar Gurjar, Bhuvnesh Sharma, Rajendra Verma, Vinod Jain, Chandresh Gupta, Devnarayan Gurjar, Ramsaroop Narainya, Devkishan Gurjar, Yogesh Gupta, Babua Khan, Dilraj Meena, and Rajesh Saini, among others.

The Ganesh Chaturthi Fair is a significant event in the district, attracting lakhs of devotees from across the country. The association urged the administration to declare a holiday on the occasion, taking into account the religious sentiments of the people.
