Watch: World champion PV Sindhu's training regime that will leave you astound
Following incessant lack of success in finals, India’s ace shuttler PV Sindhu gaged her critics by acquiring the country’s maiden BWF World Championship gold medal. The unmatched feat has come at a cost and it’s been nothing else but hardwork towards physical fitness and training programme. While PV Sindhu made history by becoming the first Indian world champion in badminton. Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared a clip of her training regime in Hyderabad.
PV Sindhu has been training with coach Pullela Gopichand at the Suchitra Badminton Academy in Hyderabad. Before going for the BWF World Championship, Sindhu practiced at the same academy and a clip of the same was posted on social media after she baged a gold medal.
Anand Mahindra, citing PV Sindhu’s training regime, took to his official Twitter handle and stated: I'm exhausted just watching this. But now there's no mystery about why she's the World Champ. A whole generation of budding Indian sportspersons will follow her lead & not shrink from the commitment required to get to the top..."
The only player to match PV Sindhu in the whole championship was Tai Tzu-Ying from Chinese Taipei. The 24 year old comfortably defeated most of her adversaries including Okuhara in the final. All thanks to her coaches Srikant Verma, Kim Ji Hyun and Pullela Gopichand.

In an interview with the Times of India, PV Sindhu went on to merit Srikanth for helping her work hard and return back to her optimal fitness.
"I toiled very hard to prepare myself for the Worlds. I did not change my food habits as junk food is not for me. But the only sacrifice I made was to subject my body to a lot of strain. I have been training with Srikanth Varma for the last two years at Suchitra Academy. He knows me and he plans on areas I need to work on, what changes to be made, etc. He takes care of my fitness," she said.
Having won the world title, PV Sindhu will now lay her eyes on Super Series tournament, while also looking to secure her qualification into the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
