This is when Rock-Cena real-life beef started
WWE superstars John Cena and the Rock are considered to be the two most successful and sought after fighters of all time. But, aren't friends, after five years 'The Rock' has disclosed the reason for the feud.
While Cena is 16-time world champion, the Rock is close with 10 reigns. One thing common to both is that they are both guaranteed Hall of Famers. Besides, both have also embarked on their own acting careers and achieved similar fame and success.
With a lot of thing in common, the duo can be thought to be friends but unfortunately, they aren't, rather they have a feud. In WrestleMania 28 and Mania 29, the duo had a faceoff.
In an interview, The Rock disclosed how his hatred for Cena started and build-up to their huge 'Mania matchups. "I had left, and John Cena had done a series of interviews," The Great One explained while appearing on "Watch What Happens Live," He added, "I just felt, and somebody had referenced me and said, ‘hey, is Rock ever coming back’, and he said, ‘I’m not quite too sure’, and I just didn’t like how he said it, and it stuck with me."
Years after when the Rock went back to the WWE ring, he spoke to Vince McMahon and planned to take up his statement and start a flight. So, basically, the beef started when Cena said something that Rock disagreed with.
