Pakistani cricket fan Adil Taj who sang Indian national anthem during India-Pakistan Asia Cup match in 2018 has requested Indian fans to not boycott India-Pakistan World Cup match as it is the most awaited match and can be called “clash of the year”.

Adil, who termed the clash as ‘Mother of all Matches’ said that India cannot achieve anything by boycotting cricket matches against Pakistan. He also said that, where he lives in United Arab Emirates the bond between people to people is beyond India-Pakistan politics.

Rivalry between India and Pakistan in cricket is world famous and in this year’s World Cup they will clash against each other on June 16 at Old Trafford, Manchester. However, Indian fans are not happy after 40 CRPF jawans were killed in a terrorist attack in Pulwama. Indian fans are urging Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to not play against Pakistan is World Cup.

The 50-over event will take place in England and Wales this year. In total ten teams will compete against each other in a period of one month and at the end whosoever wins the final will lift the trophy. Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies and Sri Lanka are the teams qualified for the event.

The 12th edition of the World Cup will start from May 30 and the first match will be against host England and South Africa.
