North Korean cheerleader elbowed for cheering American skaters, video goes viral
A video went viral on Saturday morning where a cheerleader was spotted clapping for American figure skaters Alexa Scimeca-Knierim and Chris Knierim for a fraction of seconds. Later, she was elbowed by one of her teammates sitting beside her. Probably the elbowing was to remind her that the skaters were from the foe country.

Throughout the Winter Olympics, the North Korea’s cheerleaders have been in media coverage. 'The army of beauties' squad have grabbed a lot of attention because of their fashion sense and appearance.
According to reports, the cheerleaders are selected by a careful selection process in North Korea. But, these are the same cheerleaders who were recently pointed out by a military musician in North Korea who fled the reclusive country 10 years ago, Lee So-yeon.
According to the former Korean soldier, there’s a sinister side to the glamorous roles they undertake.
