IPL 2018: RCB skipper Virat Kohli finally reveals why the franchise did not retain 'Universe Boss' Chris Gayle
The 11th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) has been started and the fans can be seen very excited about the games. Especially the fans of Virat Kohli who are eager to see their favourite star playing cricket on the ground. Royal Challengers Bangalore is going to play their first match against Kolkata Knight Riders today.
Since the team are ready to perform but one thing that fans will miss is Chris Gayle's power-packed opening from Bangalore side. It is known that RCB has not retained Gayle this season as of now he will play from KXIP side. Then fans are continuously asking why the team has not retained Chris Gayle. Now RCB skipper Virat Kohli himself revealed why the team not retained 'Universal Boss'.
It is believed that Gayle is not in good form from last few years and even his age is now a trouble for the player. This is reason Kohli said that team decided not to retain Gayle this season.
RCB captain Virat Kohli said, "Chris Gayle has performed very well in last few years for RCB but looking at the future aspect of three years they planned to not retain him. We want to give chance to new people so they can give balance to our team."

Kohli further added, "I can't take anything now from Gayle because we want to balance our team. We just can't depend on only two or three players."
This is being told that Kohli said this after seeing Chris Gayle's performance in last season of IPL.
