Vivegam: Thala Ajith - Vivek Oberoi thriller mints Rs. 33 crore worldwide, emerges as all-time second Tamil opener after Rajinikanth's Kabali

Friday saw the release of Thala Ajith's action thriller Vivegam. The film, directed by Siva and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, marked the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Kamal Haasan's daughter Akshara Haasan. Vivegam stars Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead.

Catch had previously reported that the Thala Ajith starrer is all set to open big at the Box Office.

And now, the opening day figures of Vivegam has been revealed and as expected the Thala Ajith starrer emerged as the second biggest Tamil opener after the 2016 Rajinikanth blockbuster Kabali.

On it's opening day, Vivegam has grossed Rs. 33 crore at the Box Office worldwide. The film, has fared best in Tamil Nadu by raking in nearly Rs. 17 crore at the Box Office. In Kerala, Vivegam has grossed Rs. 2.88 crore whereas in Karnataka, the Ajith starrer went on to collect Rs. 3.75 crore. The action entertainer also emerged as top Ajith opener in all South states and all-India level as well.
