Thala Ajith's upcoming film Vivegam has completed its censorship formalities and received 'U/A' certificate from Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC). Though the makers were expecting a clean 'U'certificate, but the CBFC has cleared the film with a 'U/A' certificate citing the high-octane action scenes in the film as the reason.
Following the censorship process, the makers have announced the release date of Vivegam as August 24.
The change in the release date of the Thala Ajith starrer came as a surprise for the entire Tamil industry as Vivegam has been promoted widely as August 10 release. The actual reason for the sudden release change is yet-to-be-revealed, but there are reports that actor Dhanush has requested the Vivegam makers to postpone the film to a different date from August 10.
Directed by Siva, Vivegam stars Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead and will mark the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Kamal Haasan daughter, Akshara Haasan.
