Vivegam: 5 reasons why this action thriller could be Thala Ajith's fourth blockbuster in a row

While Vivegam is on the way to end its opening theatrical day, here is why Catch feels the action thriller could be Thala Ajith's fourth blockbuster in a row.

1) Vivegam is the first Ajith film to be released after a two-year long gap. The actor's previous film was Vedalam, which was released in 2015 as Diwali release. The Tamil superstar is probably having his best time right as Ajith's previous three releases Veeram, Yennai Arindhaal and Vedalam were blockbusters at the Box Office. Unlike other Tamil actors, Thala Ajith won't promote his films and yet, it eventually turned out to be one of the most promoted films of Tamil cinema.

2) Vivegam was in news ever since the makers released the teaser of the film. The action-packed teaser which had released on 10 May 2017 has recently made history when it had emerged as the second most liked teaser in the world after Star Wars: The Last Jedi official teaser. The teaser of Thala Ajith starrer unseats the teaser of Hollywood film Avengers: Age of Ultron to grab the second spot.

3) Another reason that will work for Vivegam in theaters is Anirudh Ravichandar's music and BGM score. The music of Vivegam is already a hit especially the Surviva song, which had bagged the chart buster status on its release day itself. The song was released as a tribute song to Ajith as the lyrics of the song are about a common man, who takes on the struggles and overcomes his challenges in his life. Similarly, Ajith has survived his failures and emerged as one of the most successful actors of South film industry.

4) Prior to the release of its Theatrical trailer, director Siva had stated that action scenes in Vivegam will be a visual treat for the audience. The makers have also roped in Hollywood stunt directors to coordinate the stunts in the film and the stunning result was visible in the trailer itself. The early reports from the audience suggest that the action scenes in Vivegam can be matched with top rate action sequences of Hollywood films.

5) As per early reports, Vivegam has opened to an earth-shattering response at the Box Office. Be it Tamil Nadu, Karnataka or Kerala, the film has reported housefull shows across the cinemas. At a few cinemas, tickets for the four-day opening weekend were already sold out. Vivegam has got one of the widest release ever for a Tamil film and the terrific opening and huge advance booking for the 4-day-long weekend suggest that Vivegam could be Thala Ajith's straight fourth blockbuster in a row.
