Villain's new poster featuring Mohanlal and Tamil actor Vishal released

The final post production work of Mohanlal's upcoming film Villain is currently underway in Kochi. The film, touted to be a stylish thriller, has been directed by B Unnikrishnan. Villain also marks the Malayalam acting debut of Tamil actors, Vishal, Hansika and Telugu actors Srikanth, Raashi Khanna.

The film also marks the debut Malayalam production venture of Rockline Venkatesh, the maker of Rajinikanth's Lingaa and Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

While the theatrical trailer of Villain is slated to be released, the makers revealed a new poster on Friday. The poster features Mohanlal and Vishal pitted against each other. Vishal portrays the role of a doctor, which is said to be the main antagonist of the film. The Tamil actor will be seen in dual looks for the film.

Mohanlal essays the titular role of a retired police officer Mathew Manjooran in the film while lead actress Manju Warrier plays Lalettan's wife in Villain.

Villain is also said to be the first Indian movie to be completely shot and released in 8K resolution.
