Vikram - Trisha team up for Saamy 2

Director Hari's 2003 Tamil film, Saamy is said to be one of the biggest hits of Tamil actor Chiyaan Vikram's career. During the trailer launch of Vikram's previous release, Iru Mugan, Hari had confirmed that he will be teaming up with Vikram for the sequel to the 2003 blockbuster Saamy.
Earlier, several media reported that Dhruva fame Rakul Preet Singh has been finalised as the leading heroine of Saamy 2. However, the Sarrainodu actress squashed the reports recently.
And now there is a happy news for the Saamy fans as the makers have decided to retain Tamil actress Trisha in Saamy 2. The actress, who had portrayed the role of Bhuvana Aarusaamy in its prequel, Saamy will be seen paired opposite Vikram in Saamy 2 as well. The film also marks the third collaboration of Vikram - Trisha after Saamy and Bheema.
Harris Jayaraj has been finalised as the music composer of Saamy 2 and Priyank will do the cinematography for the film. Saamy 2 will starts rolling in June 2017.
