Vijay's Mersal teaser shatters Rajinikanth's Kabali and Salman Khan's Tubelight records in just 19 hours

The teaser of Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film Mersal is on a record breaking spree. After emerging as world's most liked teaser in just 4 hours of its theatrical release, the teaser of Mersal has set yet another record which is sure to remain unbroken for a long time.

The teaser of Mersal has crossed the voted 10 million views in just 19 hours. Yes, you heard it right, in 19 hours. The teaser of Thalapathy Vijay starrer has shattered the records set by Rajinikanth's Kabali and Salman Khan's Tubelight teasers as well. While the teaser of Rajinikanth blockbuster took 71 hours to clock 10 million views, Tubelight teaser crossed the same in 48 hours.

The one-minute and fifteen-second long teaser, which had released on Thursday concentrates only on the Tamil superstar without revealing much of the story or any other star cast. Directed by Atlee, Mersal is said to be the 100th film of Sri Thenandal Films. Tipped to be an action-thriller, Mersal stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Nithy Menen in the female leads. The teaser also features stunning locations and excellent BG score and music composed by none another than AR Rahman.

Mersal is scheduled to be released on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.
