UAE Box Office: Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal unseats Golmaal Again and Secret Superstar, clocks $1 Million

Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal is on a record-breaking spree. After setting the USA Box Office on fire by raking in $1 Million, the Thalapathy starrer has repeated the same feat at the UAE Box Office as well.

The film, which had released on Wednesday last week, has already clocked $1 Million on its opening weekend at the UAE Box Office. Not to forget, Mersal had stiff competition from Bollywood Diwali releases, Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty's Golmaal Again and Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar. But Mersal managed to surpass both the Bollywood films by a huge margin at the UAE Box Office.

Directed by Atlee, Mersal marks his second association with the Tamil superstar. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Nithya Menen in female lead roles.
