UAE Box Office: Mohanlal's Velipadinte Pusthakam debuts at No.2, Hollywood film IT: Chapter Two tops the list

Last Thursday saw the release of Mohanlal's Onam release Velipadinte Pusthakam at the UAE Box Office. The film, which marked the Malayalam superstar's first association with hit maker Lal Jose, has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor under his home banner Aashirvad Cinemas.

And as expected, Velipadinte Pusthakam has opened to a good start at the cinemas across the UAE - GCC countries. On its opening weekend, the Malayalam superstar film has debuted at No.2 at the UAE Box Office. The tremendous hype and amazing response to the song 'Jimmikki Kammal' composed by Shaan Rahman and jointly sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan and Renjith Unni has worked in favour of the film in UAE as well.

Hollywood film based on Stephen King's horror novel, IT: Chapter Two clocks the numero-uno spot on its opening weekend at the UAE Box Office. Directed by Andy Muschietti, the horror-thriller stars Bill Skarsgard in the titular role of Pennywise the Dancing Clown, an ancient trans-dimensional evil that awakens every twenty-seven years.
