This is the reason why Suriya thanked Prabhas

The grand pre-release function of Tamil superstar Suriya's Sankranthi release Thaanaa Serndha Koottam was recently held in Hyderabad. Directed by Vignesh Sivan and produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green banner, the film will have a simultaneous release along with its Telugu dubbed version, Gang.

During the event, Suriya thanked Baahubali superstar Prabhas for making it possible for Gang to get a Sankranthi release in Telangana states.
“I know how difficult it is to get theaters during Sankranthi and what all Prabhas and everyone at UV Creations did to get Gang released in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. I thank them very much,” Suriya said.
The Singam actor also added that he has tried dubbing in Telugu for the love of his Telugu fans.

Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is tipped to be the Tamil remake of Akshay Kumar - Neeraj Pandey's heist crime thriller Special 26. Suriya will be seen portraying the role of Akshay Kumar while Shivakami of Baahubali series, Ramya Krishnan plays Anupam Kher's role. Thaanaa Serndha Koottam stars Keerthy Suresh in the female lead.
