Fans of film stars arguing over the Box Office fate of the films is nothing new on social media. And when it comes to star fans fights, fans of Tamil superstars Thala Ajith and Thalapathy Vijay dominate on social media, whether it's on Twitter or Facebook.

And the current debate going on Twitter these days is over the Box Office verdict of Thalapathy Vijay's Diwali release Mersal.

It's widely known that the Thalapathy Vijay starrer has emerged as the fifth South film to cross the Rs. 250 crore mark at the Box Office worldwide after Rajinikanth blockbusters Entiran, Kabali and Prabhas' Baahubali series. In fact, the producer of Mersal, Hema Rukmani of Sri Thenandal Films recently in an interview revealed that Mersal has raked in profits for her. She also tweeted that the Thalapathy Vijay starrer turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.

However, for the fans of Thala Ajith fans, Mersal is a flop at the Box Office. Also, it has to be noted that their star's much promoted film Vivegam emerged as one of the biggest disasters of 2017. The active Thala fans were seen declaring the blockbuster film as flop on Twitter and as Facebook as well. And they are continuing it.., indeed a funny thing!
