Telugu Box Office: Anushka Shetty - Unni Mukundan's Bhaagamathie opens with a bang

Friday saw the release of superstar Anushka Shetty's Bhaagamathie at the Telugu Box Office. Directed by G Ashok and bankrolled by UV Creations, the film marks the return of Anushka Shetty after the all time Indian blockbuster Baahubali 2. Bhaagamathie featured Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan in male lead role and also marks his second Telugu outing after Janatha Garage.

Bhaagamathie has taken a flying start on it opening day at the Telugu Box Office. The Anushka Shetty starrer has minted a whopping Rs. 8 crore at the Telugu speaking states with Nizam and Andhra Pradesh fared the best. At the Karnataka Box Office, Bhaagamathie has raked in Rs. 1.30 crore while the Malayalam and Tamil dubbed versions too minted few lakhs on its opening day.

Bhaagamathie continued its dominance overseas as well. The horror thriller has already grossed nearly Rs. 2 crore from the cinemas across the USA alone.

By the end of its opening day, Bhaagamathie has minted Rs. 13 crore worldwide. The film also starred Jayaram and Asha Sarath as well.
