After the failure of Himmatwala, Tamannaah Bhatia is all set to work with Ajay Devgn in a Bollywood film. But this time the Baahubali actress won't be romancing Ajay Devgn in the film, instead Tamannaah will be seen romancing Farhan Akthar in the film produced by Ajay Devgn.
Reportedly, Ajay Devgn is going to produce the Hindi remake of Karthik Subbaraj’s Tamil hit film Jigarthanda along with Abhinav Shukla. Ajay Devgn's Drishyam director Nishikanth Kamath has been finalised as the director of the film which will have veteran actor Sanjay Dutt and Farhan Akthar in lead roles. Sanjay Dutt will reprise Bobby Simha’s role, while Farhan Akthar portrays the role of a filmmaker done by Siddharth in its original version. Tamannaah will be seen essaying the role of Lakshmi Menon.
Jigarthanda is touted as one of the cult films to be made in Tamil cinema. The black comedy-crime film, which was released in 2014 to extraordinary response from the audience and critics alike, was a Box Office hit upon its release. While Siddharth essayed the role of Karthik Subramani, a short film-film director, Bobby Simha portrayed the role of Assault Sethu, a gangster in Madurai. The content of Jigarthanda was so strong that it was eventually remade in Kannada as Jigarthandaa starring Rahul, Samyukta Hornad, and P. Ravishankar in lead roles.
