Indian film superstar Sridevi passed away in Dubai on Sunday following a cardiac arrest. She was 54.
The veteran actress passed away at Emirates Tower, Dubai at 11 PM (IST Sunday 12.30 AM,) after a fainting spell in bathroom. Sridevi was brought dead at Rashid hospital, Dubai's second oldest hospital, which locates on the Oud Metha Road adjacent to Dubai Creek. Her mortal body was given to the forensic exports and is currently at Al Qusais morgue.
According to the latest reports, Sridevi's mortal will be brought to India on a specially chartered flight on Sunday evening. The local Indian authorities are in touch with all the legal proceedings and the aircraft which will bring Sridevi's body is likely to depart from Mumbai around 1 P.M. and will arrive in Dubai at 4 P.M. It is expected to reach Mumbai around 8 P.M.
There are also reports that Sridevi's final rites will be performed tomorrow morning in Mumbai.
Sridevi is survived by popular filmmaker and husband Boney Kapoor and two daughters Jhanvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
