Shocking!!! Theatrical rights of Nagarjuna's upcoming film Officer remains unsold thanks to Ram Gopal Varma.
Here's a bad news for all the fans of Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna. Despite his good track record at the Telugu Box Office, Nagarjuna's upcoming film Officer is struggling to get released due to the non availability of the buyers.
If Telugu media reports are to be believed, most of the buyers are not keen to acquire the theatrical rights of Officer thanks to the director of the film 'Ram Gopal Varma'. The poor Box Office performance of RGV's recent films have worked against the film to remain unsold. Also, Officer is largely promoted as a 'RGV film' instead of 'Nagarjuna starrer'. It's indeed an unfortunate situation considering that most of the recent Nagarjuna films turned out to be decent hits at the Box Office.
Jointly bankrolled by Sudeer Chandra and Ram Gopal Varma under R Company banner, Officer stars Nagarjuna as an encounter specialist Shiva. The film stars Myra Sareen in the female lead. The makers have mentioned Officer's release date as May 25 in its first look poster.
Officer also marks the collaboration of Nagarjuna and RGV after a gap of nearly two and half decades.
