SHOCKING! Keerthy Suresh starrer Mahanati beats Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India at the USA Box Office

The much awaited Telugu film Mahanati released on Wednesday. Directed by Nag Ashwin and jointly produced by Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt, the film is a biopic on late legendary actress Savitri. Mahanati stars Keerthy Suresh in the titular role of Savitri while the film also boasts of an ensemble cast including Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni and Arjun Reddy actor Vijay Deverakonda.

While Mahanati has opened to terrific reviews from the critics and audience alike, it has already started creating records at the USA Box Office.

Interestingly, Mahanati, which had released in USA on Tuesday has already crossed the premiere collections of superstar Allu Arjun's Friday release Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India. The Keerthy suresh film has reportedly minted $ 260 K from it's Tuesday premiere while the premiere numbers of the Allu Arjun starrer was $ 232 K. It's a huge feat considering that a small film taking over a superstar film rarely happens in Telugu film.
