The pre-production works of Mohanlal's upcoming film Randamoozham: The Mahabharata has already started by director VA Shrikumar Menon. The film, which is based on Malayalam writer MT Vasudevan Nair’s award winning novel Randamoozham, is reportedly being produced for a whopping budget of Rs. 1000 stars. The story will be told through Bheemasena's perspective, which stars Mohanlal in the lead role.
Earlier, Catch had reported that noted stunt director Peter Hein has been finalised as the action choreographer of Randamoozham.
And now, the makers have roped in Hollywood stunt director Lee Whittaker of films like Fast And Furious and Jurassic Park to join Peter Hein.
VA Shrikumar Menon took to his Facebook page to announce the update. He also shared his photo with the Hollywood stunt director;
"It was incredible to meet Hollywood’s one of the top Action Directors; Lee Whittaker for the initial discussions of Mahabharata – Randaamoozham, the Movie! An action packed Mahabharata - Randaamoozham is likely to see the mastery of Lee Whittaker, one of the top stunt performers in the industry with two decades of elite work on some of Hollywoods biggest blockbuster films. Some of his renowned works include X-Men Apocalypse, Into the Storm, Fast Five, Live Free or Die Hard, Jurassic Park 3, Pearl Harbor etc. Extremely positive about the big dream! Thank you for your time and your valuable inputs", VA Shrikumar Menon added.
Randamoozham will be made into two parts and will be released simultaneously in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and English.
