Padma Awards is the most prestigious award it is the highest civilian awards of India and only selected people from all over the country gets. On the eve of Republic Day, the names of those who will be getting the most prestigious Padma Awards were announced. Today, on 16th March the awards were distributed in Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi by President Ram Nath Kovind.
The awards are basically categorised into three types namely Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shree. The list also included celebrities from Bollywood and South Indian Cinema some are dancer-choreographer Prabhu Deva, musician Shankar Mahadevan Narayan, actor Manoj Bajpai among others.
