Odiyan : Mohanlal, VA Shrikumar Menon's action thriller launched

The official launch ceremony of Mohanlal's upcoming film Odiyan was held in Trivandrum on Tuesday morning. The film, written by Harikrishnan Kornath is the directorial debut of ad-film maker VA Shrikumar Menon, who is also directing Lalettan's most ambitious project, Randamoozham : The Mahabharata. The event was also attended by Mohanlal's son Pranav, Jeethu Joseph, Lal Jose, MA Jayachandran and MG Sreekumar as well.

At the event Shrikumar announced that Odiyan will have five action sequences, choreographed by Peter Hein. He also added that his film will be a visual treat for the audience including five songs composed by MA Jayachandran and many punch dialogues mouthed by Mohanlal. Shrikumar also thanked producer Antony Perumbavoor for offering maximum budget the film required for its making.

Interestingly, Odiyan marks the 24th collaboration of Mohanlal and Antony Perumbavoor. The actor-producer duo earlier delivered many blockbuster films including Narasimham, Ravanaprabhu, Naran, Spirit, Drishyam and the 2016 Onam release Oppam.

Odiyan stars Manju Warrier in the female lead and Prakash Raj in an important role.
