Nor Ranveer Singh or Arjun Kapoor, but Shahid Kapoor to star in the remake of Vijay Devarakonda​'s Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy

Telugu film Arjun Reddy is considered as one of the path breaking Indian films released in 2017. The content of the film is so brilliant that it has inspired top Malayalam production banner E4 Entertainment to make their Tamil debut with the remake of the Arjun Reddy.

Earlier, there were reports that Sandeep Vanga, who made his directorial debut with Arjun Reddy is planning to remake the film in Bollywood with Ranveer Singh.

However, since last two days Arjun Kapoor's name has started doing the rounds on social media.

“To be able to play the lead, Arjun Kapoor has agreed to co-produce the Hindi remake ofArjun Reddy, which incidentally is likely to be re-titled Arjun Kapoor in Hindi, as the hero will now be Punjabi instead of a Telugu", a source close to Sandeep Ranga said.

But, according to Sandeep Vanga, Shahid Kapoor has been finalized to portray the role of Vijay Devarakonda in the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy.

"Yes, Mr Boney Kapoor did come to meet me. But I’ve already committed myself to the Hindi remake with Shahid Kapoor. So I don’t know", Sandeep Vanga said.
