Mohanlal to portray Akshay Kumar's role in the Tamil remake of OMG - Oh My God to be directed by Kamal Haasan

It's known that Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has portrayed the role of Mohanlal in many of the latter's Malayalam hits. In fact four Akshay Kumar's hits, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyya, Bhagam Bhaag and Khatta Meetha were remakes of Mohanlal's 80's-90's blockbusters Boeing Boeing, Manichitrathazhu, Nadodikkattu and Vellanakalude Nadu.

However, for a change, this time the Malayalam superstar is all set to recreate the role of a Akshay Kumar soon.

If Kollywood media reports are to be believed, Mohanlal will essay the role of Akshay Kumar in the Tamil remake of Bollywood superstar's 2012 hit OMG - Oh My God. The Tamil remake is said to be directed by Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan, who himself will play the lead role played by Paresh Rawal in its original version.

Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal have earlier collaborated for the 2009 Tamil film Unnaipol oruvan, the official remake of Neeraj Pandey's A Wednesday, which starred Nasserudin Shah and Anupam Kher.
