Mohanlal is currently on a break to reduce his weight, I'm sure he will rock in Odiyan: Prakash Raj

It's known that popular actor Prakash Raj is teaming up with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in ad-filmmaker V.A. Shrikumar Menon's directorial debut Odiyan. The actor was in Kerala on Friday for the opening ceremony of International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

During the media interaction, Prakash Raj stated that he is eagerly waiting for Mohanlal to join the sets. He also added that Lalettan is currently on a break to reduce his weight for his role in the film.

"Odiyan is an interesting film with a lot of new elements in it. Almost 70% of the shoot is over and I’m now eagerly waiting for Mohanlal to join the team. He is very passionate about the film and is presently on a break to reduce his weight. The team is working hard and Lalettan will rock in it as usual," Prakash Raj said.

Earlier it was reported that Lalettan will be seen sporting multiple looks in Odiyan from the age of 30 to 65. His character is said to be a terrific athlete, who is also mastered in Odividya and can run on four legs and jump higher than normal people.

Odiyan also marks the fourth collaboration of Mohanlal and Prakash Raj. The five-time national award-winning duo had earlier worked together in Malayalam films The Prince, Oru Yathramozhi and Maniratnam's Tamil film Iruvar.
