Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham: Mohanlal, Priyadarshan, Antony Perumbavoor's Rs. 100 crore film announced

The official launch of blockbuster duo Mohanlal - Priyadarshan's new film was held on Saturday. The star studded event was held in Crowne Plaza, Kochi. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas along with Dr Roy CJ’s Confident Group and Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment, the movie has been titled as Marakkar – Arabi Kadalinte Simham. The makers have confirmed that they are planning to make the film cose to a whopping budget of Rs. 100 crore, to make it as the first Rs. 100 crore film to be made in Malayalam cinema. The makers also released the dialogue impact of Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham as well. 

 

As the title suggests, the film tells the story of Kunjali Marakkar from the last part among his four key stories.

Lalettan will be seen portraying the titlar role of Kunjali Marakkar in Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham. Kunjali Marakkar was the title given to the naval chief in the 16th century, to protect the coast against the invading Portuguese army.

Apart from Mohanlal, Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham will have an ensemble star cast including top celebrities from other film industries along with international artists including popular British and Chinese actors. Tipped to be a semi fiction film with bits of history and imagination, Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham is expected to start rolling within November.

Similar to Baahubali series, Marakkar - Arabi Kadalinte Simham too will be dubbed in all major Indian languages and other foreign languages like Chinese and Arabic as well.
