Kerala Box Office: Good opening for Jayasurya, Ranjith Sankar's Punyalan Private Limited, reports positive

One of the most awaited Malayalam films of the year, Punyalan Private Limited released today. Written and directed by hit maker Ranjith Sankar, the film is a sequel to his 2013 super hit film Punyalan Agarbattis. Similar to its prequel, Punyalan Private Limited stars Jayasurya in the main lead role. The film marks the maiden distribution venture of Punyalan Cinemas, jointly owned by the super hit actor-director duo Jayasurya and Ranjith Sankar.

As expected, Punyalan Private Limited opened to good occupancy across the cinemas of Kerala. The film saw a wide release of 128 screens in Kerala, which is also the highest ever release for a Jayasurya starrer. Be it single screens or plexes, Punyalan Private Limited has registered impressive collections from the opening show itself and as per the early matinee shows the Ranjith Sankar film is gaining the same momentum as well.

Punyalan Private Limited, which is tipped to be a social satire comedy has been praised for its pleasant story backed with good performances from the lead cast, especially Jayasurya as Joy Thakkolkkaran, the entrepreneur who is struggling to market his product 'Punyalan Waters' in tetra packs.

Going by the opening report and positive reviews, Punyalan Private Limited looks like a sure shot winner at the Box Office. The film also stars an ensemble cast including Pretham fame Sruthi Ramachandran, veteran actor Vijayaraghavan, Aju Varghese, Dharmajan, Guinness Pakru, Sunil Sukhada, Vishnu Govind and Arya Rohit of popular Malayalam show Badai Bungalow fame.
