It's official! Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 confirmed to release on this date, here is the poster

Here is a good news for all the fans of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. The superstar-duo's much awaited film, 2.0 finally gets a release date. Directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions for a massive budget of Rs. 450 crore, the film is tipped to be a social-thriller. 2.0 stars Amy Jackson in the female lead and is said to be the costliest Indian film made till date.

After changing the release dates from two occasions (Diwali 2017 and 2018 Republic Day weekend) the Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer is all set to be released in April.

Popular Malayalam distribution company, August Cinemas which acquired the Kerala theatrical rights of 2.0 confirmed the release date as April 27. They took to their official Facebook page to release a poster along with the release date.

As expected, the new release date has created confusion among the fans and trade as none other than Rajinikanth revealed during the recently concluded fans meet that 2.0 will hit the screens on 14 April.
