Fly Free With Vimaanam This Christmas: Prithviraj announces multiple free screenings of his Friday release on December 25

Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran's Vimaanam, which had released on Friday has opened to super positive reviews from the audience and critics alike. The film bankrolled by Listin Stephen, Magic Frames Banner, the maker of Malayalam classic hits like Traffic and Usthad Hotel marks the directorial debut of Pradeep M Nair and the acting debut of Durga Krishna. 

Vimaanam is said to be based on the real life story of Saji Thomas, a speech and hearing person who built an aircraft on his own.

While the Vimaanam is running to housefull shows across the Kerala Box Office, Prithviraj announced a surprising update on Saturday.

Prithviraj took to his Facebook page and stated that the makers have decided to screen Vimaanam for free on the auspicious occasion of Christmas. He added that audience all over the Kerala can watch Vimaanam for free till the evening shows on Saturday. He went on to say that the earnings of first and second shows of Vimaanam will be handed over to the real inspiring man behind the making of Vimaanam, Saji Thomas.

Prithviraj Sukumaran stated on Facebook:

"On Christmas Day, the 25th of Dec 2017, every theatre in Kerala showing #Vimaanam will run free shows for the entire day till the evening shows! From there on..every rupee that we, the makers of the film make from the 1st and 2nd evening shows on the day, regardless of how big or small the amount is..will be handed over to Saji Thomas as a Christmas gift from us. Make it count friends. #VimaanamParakkatte #DoItForSaji".

Written by Pradeep M Nair, Vimaanam also stars an ensemble star cast including Alencier Ley Lopez, Sudheer Karamana, Saiju Kurup, Ashokan, Praveena and Anarkali Marikkar.
