It's known that son of legendary actor Mammootty and current Malayalam film heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan is making his Bollywood debut with Akash Khurana's Karwan. The film, tipped to be a romantic comedy also stars Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar in pivotal roles.
And now, according to latest media reports, Dulquer Salmaan has bagged his second Bollywood project.
Reportedly, Dulquer Salmaan has signed for an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s 2008 novel The Zoya Factor, which will be directed by Abhishek Sharma.
The story of the novel revolves around a PR executive Zoya Singh Solanki, who was born on the same moment when Indian had lifted the 1983 World Cup. During an assignment, she is invited by the Indian national cricket team to have breakfast with them. When they win the match on the same day, the team, as well as the media, hail Zoya as the lucky charm of the team. But, the captain, Nikhil Khoda doesn’t believe in luck and relies on performances. Zoya keeps arguing with the Indian captain, and eventually follows a love-hate relationship.
Dulquer has been signed to play Nikhil Khoda’s role in the film while Sonam Kapoor will be seen as the main protagonist, Zoya Singh.
