Chennai Box Office: Thala Ajith's Vivegam emerged as the second film after Baahubali 2 to set this unique record

Tamil superstar Thala Ajith's Vivegam is continuing its theatrical run to packed houses in limited screens across the Tamil Nadu. The film, which was released on 24 August to mixed reviews, has set the Box Office on fire within its opening week. The action thriller turned out to be a Rs 100 crore within 7 theatrical days at the Box Office worldwide.

And now, Vivegam has set a new record at the Chennai Box Office.

The Thala Ajith starrer has crossed the coveted Rs 10 crore mark in Chennai city alone to become the second film to do so. It's a good feat considering that only Prabhas, Anushka Shetty blockbuster Baahubali 2 managed to cross the Rs 10 crore mark in Chennai. Even Thalapathy Vijay starrer Bhairavaa and Surya's Singam III failed to set this Box Office record across the cinemas of Chennai.

Vivegam also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Kamal Haasan's daughter Akshara Haasan.
