Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu is completing one month of it's theatrical release at the Box Office. The political thriller, which had released worldwide on April 20 starred the Telugu superstar in the titular role of a Chief Minister named Bharat. Directed by Koratala Siva and produced by DVV Danayya, Bharat Ane Nenu stars Kiara Advani as the female lead.
Catch had previously reported that Bharat Ane Nenu has emerged as one of the biggest openers at the Chennai Box Office.
And now, the Mahesh Babu starrer has shattered the record set by none other than all-India blockbuster Baahubali 2 at the Chennai Box Office.
By the end of 25 theatrical days, Bharat Ane Nenu has minted a solid Rs. 1.66 crore to become the all-time top Telugu grosser at the Chennai Box Office. The film unseats the Rs. 1.65 crore record set by Baahubali 2 to do so. Bharat Ane Nenu is still running to packed houses in limited screens across the cinemas of Chennai and is looking to finish it's lifetime business near to Rs. 1.75 crore.
Bharat Ane Nenu also marks the second association between Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva. The actor-director duo's first outing Srimanthudu was also a Blockbuster at the Box Office.
