The teaser of Tamil director Bala's upcoming film Naachiyaar has been released. Written, produced and directed by Bala, the film is tipped to be a crime thriller featuring Jyothika and GV Prakash in lead roles. Jyothika will be seen portraying the role of a police officer in Naachiyaar.

Though the teaser has met with positive response from the audience, now it has landed in trouble because of the dialogues shown in the teaser.

Reportedly, a case was filed against the popular Tamil actress in a local court, claiming that she reportedly used abusive language in a film denigrating women and hurting their sentiments.

In his petition at a magistrate's court in the nearby Mettupalayam, Rajan, a driver, stated that the teaser of Nachiyar showed that Jothika, acting as a police official, speaking in an abusive language against a culprit denigrating women and hurting their sentiments.

"Using such language was punishable under Section 294b (uttering obscene words) of the IPC and Section 67 (publishing obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act", Mr Rajan claimed in his petition.
