After Thalapathy Vijay blockbuster Mersal, Atlee in talks for a Prabhas film

Thalapathy Vijay's Dilwali release Mersal is nearing 100-days if its theatrical release at the Box Office. The film, which marked his second collaboration with director Atlee after the 2016 blockbuster Theri starred the Tamil superstar in triple roles. Though Mersal has already emerged as an industry blockbuster by minting Rs. 250 crore, it is still running to packed houses in the limited screens across the Tamil Nadu.

However, if Tamil media reports are to be believed, Atlee is in talks with none other than Baahubali actor Prabhas for his next film. 

Reportedly, Atlee approached Prabhas through Mersal’s writer KV Vijayendra Prasad, who has also scripted the Baahuabli series. Prabhas is said to have shown interest in the Atlee’s subject after being impressed with the director’s previous films like Raja Rani, Theri and Mersal. 

An official confirmation on this is expected to be announced soon.
