The 2012 Akshay Kumar starrer, Rowdy Rathore is touted as one of the biggest blockbusters of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. Directed by Prabhudeva and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali under his banner SLB films, the film had Akshay in dual roles, as DIG Vikram Rathore and Shiva. Rowdy Rathore also starred Sonakshi Sinha and Nassar.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali had recently announced that Rowdy Rathore 2 will definitely starts rolling soon. In fact, K V Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of it's prequel too confirmed that he's working on Rowdy Rathore 2's script for Akshay Kumar in one of his recent interview.
However, according to the latest reports, Akshay Kumar and Baahubali, Bajrangi Bhaijaan writer are all set to team up once again for a biopic based on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Reportedly, K V Vijayendra Prasad is currently writing a script based on the biopic of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), chronicling the life of its chiefs including Dr KB Hedgewar, Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar, popularly known as Guruji by the RSS cadres and others. The film tentatively titled RSS will be made on a whopping budget of Rs. 100 crore with the Bollywood superstar as the male lead.
“The makers have initiated talks with Akshay Kumar and have received a positive response. He is set to play the protagonist of the film which will be shot in Hindi and eventually dubbed into Telugu, Kannada, Marathi and other regional languages. Vijayendra Prasad and his team are doing an extensive research with the help of several Hindu outfit leaders and will soon leave for RSS headquarters at Nagpur to meet its incumbent chief Mohan Bhagwat and other top brass to procure various details about the film,” says a source.
RSS will be jointly produced jointly by Karnataka BJP leader and Lahari Recording Company owner G Tulsiram Naidu (Lahari Velu) and his brother G Manohar Naidu. The film is scheduled to go on floors later this year.
