It's known that Tamil actor-turned-director Sunder C has decided to make a film similar to the lines of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali series. The film, titled Sangamithra, is said to be a war-drama and is reportedly being made at a budget of Rs. 250 crore. Sangamithra will be the 100th film of Sri Thenandal Films, one of the leading production houses in India. The film will star Arya and Jayam Ravi in lead roles.
And now, according to Tamil media reports, the makers have roped in veteran South film actor Sathyaraj to portray an important role in Sangamithra. Post the release of Baahubali 2, Sathyaraj has become a popular face in India, thanks to his portrayal of 'Kattappa' in the same.
Sangamithra is set in the 8th century AD and most of the cast including Arya and Jayam Ravi will be seen essaying the roles of warriors in the film. The music of Sangamithra will be composed by A R Rahaman while Sabu Cyril has been finalised for art direction.
