The shooting of Shankar's magnum-opus 2.0 is currently progressing in AR Rahman's YM studio in Chennai. The film, which marks the first collaboration between Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar stars Madrasapattinam actress Amy Jackson in the female lead.
Prior to the song shoot, it was reported that 2.0 is a sequel to Shankar's 2010 blockbuster Enthiran: The Robot.
However, the I director squashed the reports on Monday while addressing the media in Chennai.
Shankar stated that 2.0 is not at a sequel to his 2010 blockbuster. The hit maker went on to say that the Thalaivar film is a fresh story, which will definitely raise the curiosity among the audience.
Produced by Lyca Productions for a massive Rs. 450 crore, 2.0 is the costliest Indian film made till date.
