2.0: Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar film emerges as the first film to be shot in this Oscar winner's studio

The shooting of the final song of Shankar's 2.0 is currently going on in Chennai. The film, tipped to be a sci-fi thriller stars Rajinikanth in dual roles, as Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti: The Robot. The film stars Amy Jackson in the female lead and also marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar as the main antagonist of the film.

Recently, 2.0's music composer and Oscar award winner AR Rahman has launched a studio, named YM Studio in Chennai. The newly constructed studio with latest high-end equipment and air-conditioned flooring is located near Red Hills, Chennai.

Interestingly, Shankar and his team are filming the final song of 2.0 in the same studio as well. The Thalaivar starrer is also the first film to be shot in the AR Rahman studio.

The makers were planning to shoot the song much earlier, but later postponed due to unavailability of Rajinikanth. The song reportedly features Rajinikanth along with the leading lady Amy Jackson.
