2.0: Lyca Productions signs PVR cinemas as the multiplex partners for Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar film

The post production work of Shankar's film 2.0 is currently underway in Chennai. The film, a sequel to the 2010 hit, Enthiran stars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. Rajinikanth will be seen in dual roles as Dr.Vaseegaran and Chitti: The Robot while Akshay Kumar plays the villain, Dr.Richard. 2.0 also stars Amy Jackson.

2.0 was earlier scheduled to release in Diwali, but the makers, Lyca Productions postponed the release date to January 2018 due to the delay in VFX works of the film.

While 2.0 is eight months away for it's theatrical release, the makers have signed the multiplex chain, PVR cinemas as the multiplex partners of the film.

2.0 was in news ever since the makers revealed the budget of the film. Produced by Lyca Productions for a whopping Rs. 450 crore, the Thalaivar - Bollywood Khiladi film is touted to be the costliest Indian film made till date.

The music of 2.0 has been composed by AR Rahman, while cinematography is by Nirav Shah. The sci-fi thriller is scheduled to hit the screens simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. 2.0 also stars Adil Hussain, Sudhanshu Pandey and Malayalam actors Kalabhavan Shajon and Riyaz Khan.
